Field of Membership Law Enforcement Membership Membership is extended to employees of federal, state, county and municipal agencies or departments engaged in the police protection industry who work in Hartford County, Connecticut. This means government criminal investigation offices; police departments; drug enforcement agencies; the FBI; federal police services; highway patrols; government marshals' offices; sheriffs' and constables' office (except court functions); emergency dispatch departments; state police; park police; correctional facilities; and transportation security agencies, but not, for example, courts; prosecution offices; parole offices; or probation offices.
Family Membership Immediate family members such as a spouse, spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from such above employment, members of the household and organizations of such persons are eligible to become a member as well. Tell them to call and ask for a new member packet and we'll be glad to send them one!
Retiring? Moving? No Problem! Once you are a member you may retain your membership. We offer direct deposit of paychecks, pension checks and social security checks.
